Hunting and fishing

This past weekend we went camping at Lake Amador which is between Stockton and Sacramento. This place was put on the earth for one thing: fishing. We took the canoe and had a great time. We had perfect weather, good food (biscuits and gravy, hot dogs and lots and lots of smores) and the best sleep that Adam and I have ever had on a camping trip thanks to the cushy queen sized air mattress that we got (yes, the kids still slept on the ground).
We even managed to bring home a nice sized trout that we grilled on Monday. We did not catch the fish on our own, but some nice semi-pro fisherman let us have our pick of his catch for the day. I had the opportunity to show Mallory how to clean a fish. I do not remember it being that gross.
I am casting my net out for a new career opportunity. I am flying to LA on Thursday to interview with another retailer for a district management position. I have also had 3 interviews with a European company that has a regional office in SFO. We'll see what happens. Being back in the stores has been exhausting to say the least, but it has been fun too. If anyone has a suggestion for a company I should check out, let me know!

I just wanted to point out that Adam actually has a smore in his hand in this picture. Right on! We were trying to make the ultimate Smore. Mine fell on the ground. Too much of a good thing I guess.

What fun to hear about your camping trip! We really admire your effort to have wholesome family fun, fish guts and all! I personally like the s'more part of camping best. I think I hold the record for eating toasted marshmallows.

Christy, it sounds like you have some great career opportunities ahead. We'll be anxious to hear how this all turns out.
